The 国产BT is a higher education institution, a private company limited by guarantee and an exempt charity.

The Office for Students (OfS)聽is the principal charity regulator for the higher education sector.

In accordance with the funding agreement聽between the 国产BT and OfS, this webpage explains how the University demonstrates its charitable status.

Legal status	The 国产BT is a private company limited by guarantee. Its registered company number is 04740553. The registered address is as above. The University is established under the Articles of Association approved by the Board of Governors on 7 July 2020. The previous versions were approved on 30 June 2017 and 11 October 2010.
Governors	In accordance with the Articles, membership of the Board of Governors can be between a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 25 Governors. Half the membership must be Independent Governors and, of these, the number of Church Independent Governors and Other Independent Governors must be equal to comply with the University鈥檚 designation as a Church of England denominational institution. Public Benefit Statement	The 国产BT is committed to demonstrating how it provides a benefit to the public in return for its charitable status. It also recognises that this is a requirement of the terms and conditions of the funding agreement with the OfS, under which the University is required to include a report on how the institution has delivered its charitable purposes for the public benefit. The Public Benefit statement is included in the Annual Report and Financial Statements which can be found above.
Register of Interests	Each September, members of the Board update their ; changes which occur during the year are notified to the University Secretary.
