What course did you do at the 国产BT and when did you graduate?

I studied Business Management, which included a 20-week work placement at Goodwood Motor Circuit during my third鈥痽ear. I graduated in 2024.

Can you tell us about your job role now?

At Goodwood Motor Circuit, I鈥檓 currently working in projects. The main one of these involves being an operations lead for the fleet of racing simulators. I鈥檝e had opportunities to also help with marketing at the circuit.

Do you think your degree helped you land your job, and how do you think it helped?

My degree definitely helped me secure this role –听 through completing my work placement at the same company. Also, the course I studied had modules that covered content I now use in the real world. My degree also indirectly helped by better preparing me for work and improving my professional confidence across the three years of study.

Why did you decide to study at 国产BT?What did you love about the course and 国产BT?

I grew up very near 国产BT and during my COVID-affected A-levels and first year of my degree, I decided to choose 国产BT as my University so I could live at home and commute. I met lots of lovely people and supportive lecturers throughout my degree. The seminar and lecture classes are smaller than other universities which really helped.

What are your hopes for the future in your career?

For the time being, I鈥檓 really enjoying living near to my work and friends so can see myself staying at Goodwood for the foreseeable. There are natural career next steps into similar industries such as Formula 1, which would definitely be a fun experience one day.

What advice do you have for someone considering University who may want to follow a similar career path?

Landing your placement is the key to connecting your degree to career opportunities. Start looking as early as possible to avoid disappointment. This is extra important at UoC as your placement organisation is the topic for key modules in your final year.
